HALLOWEEN DECORATING CONTEST RULES, INFO & ENTRIES!

Thanks for your interest in our Halloween Decorating Contest! We’ve listed our great entries at the top so you can easily find the best decor in the area, and moved Contest Info & Rules, Submission & Voting Instructions and Prize Info to the bottom.

ENTRIES

Our very first complete entry is from DENNIS WILSON at 368 MIDDLE VIEW DR, RINGGOLD, GA. Go by and check it out, and take a picture if you think this might be voteworthy!

Dennis Wilson

Yay, more entries! ERICA & LUKE CASEY at 1311 MERCER ST., Lupton City (Chattanooga) TN 37351 just sent us this creepy entry!

SARAH MCCUNE has come up with a unique entry- her haunted Fairy Garden! You can see it from the road at 423 MONEYTREE LANE, Chattanooga.

WENDY BORAN & MICHAEL BUCK call their home at 8287 STILLWATER CIRCLE, Ooltewah, TN 37363 “Halloween Madness.” It is certainly chock-full of all things spooky! Personally, all those clowns really creep me out. They are also accepting non-perishable food donations for the Samaritan Center in Ooltewah, so maybe bring a can with you to toss in the barrel!

CATHY MASSEY sends us our first entry from Rossville, at 8 ROCK BROOK COVE, Rossville, Ga. 30741. More creepy clowns and plenty of ghosts!

LAIRA VON WAHLDE just sent us this entry from 4218 ST. ELMO AVE, Chattanooga. She is also hoping to have their whole neighborhood submit soon too as well, so you might find some other great decorations there if you go by.

DEBORAH & DONNIE LONGLEY at 5335 MARION AVE, East Ridge just sent us this entry of their home that is loaded with so much spooky, we couldn’t fit it all in the photo composite!

STEPHEN WILLIAMS says they have been decorating their home at 7602 AUSTIN DR, Chattanooga, off of Bonny Oaks for twenty-five years. We hear that’s how the Osborne Family Spectacle got started!

MARCIA TAYLOR has so much at her house at 13625 PIERCE RD, Birchwood TN that we could only put less than half on here- if you want to see it for yourself, go by!

MADALYN ROBERTS just sent us another entry from St Elmo, this time from 5316 ST ELMO AVE!

Brandy Williams sends us her entry from 4009 Webb Rd, Chattanooga.

Jeremy Cash sends us this entry from 2 Sunset Dr, Lafayette GA.

Elizabeth Montgomery (yes, we thought of Bewitched too!) sent us these photos of her home at 313 Windy Ridge Dr, Dayton TN.
Richard Watts entered his spooky abode at 6629 White Tail Dr Ooltewah, TN.

JOSHUA O’DELL just sent us our first entry from Chickamauga, GA. Check out his home at 477 QUARTZ DR.
We have a new entry from Josh McClam at 6707 Jordan Run Rd, Chattanooga. This one is a walk-through haunt they have set up for their trick-or-treaters!

And for what I expect is the last entry of the contest, Emily Compton has submitted her home at 4310 DuPont St. Chattanooga, and wants to let us know that she has prewrapped bags of candy that she is leaving out on the table for trick-or-treaters tomorrow! You all know the rule- just take one. 😉
Thank you all for participating in our contest to keep Halloween alive for Chattanooga. We will be announcing the winner Halloween morning!

We don’t want Chattanooga to miss out on Halloween like so many other celebrations this year, so we are sponsoring a Halloween decorating contest!
Registration is free- just email chattanoogaghosttours@yahoo.com with “Contest Registration” in the subject line, and your name and address.
No neighborhoods have registered, so we have eliminated that category, and ALL the prizes will go to the best decorated individual yard!
When your display is ready to be viewed, email a photo of your home, and we will publish the location here and on our Facebook page, so that everyone can enjoy Halloween displays throughout the season from the safety of their car.
The public will vote the final week of the Halloween season on the winning house, by posting a photo you have personally taken of ONE house on our Facebook page. We will have a separate post for each of our entrants, and you should post your original photo as a comment to the entrant you are voting for. No duplicate photos are allowed; each individual voting must post their own photo.
The requirement that you personally take the photo is to insure that only people who have actually gone by the house or neighborhood to view it are voting, to prevent cheating. If duplicate photos are found, the participant may be disqualified. If someone votes for more than 1 entrant, none of that person’s votes will be counted, so make sure before voting that you are certain of your choice!
Prizes will include such goodies as tickets to local attractions like Chattanooga Ghost Tours, Time to Escape, Six Fears Hell’s Bar Dam, and Dread Hollow, among others, plus for the neighborhood winner, a consultation with Keegan Chitwood Events & Design to get a professional head start on planning their decor for NEXT year.
