Chattanooga Ghost Tours inc. offers an engaging and entertaining haunted history lesson that will leave students clamoring for more!

Chattanooga Ghost Tours ghost hunts feature the latest in paranormal investigation equipment. The world famous Mel Meter features both single axis AC Magnetic field measurement and real time air temperature readings. We also will implement K-II meters in order to experiment with the plausibility of communicating with spirit anomalies. The electromagnetic field plays a vital role in the detection of paranormal activity. As even humans produce EMF, the prevailing theory of observable manifestation is that spirits draw on energy in the environment creating spikes in the electromagnetic field. EMF meters allow us to witness when these fluctuations are occurring. The Ovilus X works with the principle of EMF detection while including a word-bank of over 2000 words. This gives us the opportunity to experiment with communicating with spirits in more direct means. It has been observed that entities can manipulate temperature when attempting to manifest themselves or interact with us. We can not say if this is a conscious interaction or merely an effect of their manifestation. You may find cold or warm spots in a room where no cause in apparent. This may be indicative of something trying to make contact. Inferred temperature devices allow us to know when these temperature fluctuations are happening. Our most recent acquisition is the SLS ghost mapping system which uses ultrasonic distance detection, thermal temperature sensing and light frequency sensing in order to provide a physical location based detection of spirit anomalies. Watch the Ghost Adventures episode “St. James Hotel” to see this device in action!

Chattanooga History

Chattanooga has a rich and interesting history. There are 12,000 years of human history seeped into our soil dating back to the Mesolithic period. The city itself was originally founded in 1837 at the heels of the Trail of Tears. The word Chattanooga comes from the Cherokee, a word meaning "To pull a fish out of water."

Chattanooga was the location of 5 major battles of the Civil War, and was strategically vital to both sides because of it's importance as a major transportation hub.

Both President Ulysses S Grant and President Andrew Jackson fought wars here in Chattanooga. Grant stayed in Chattanooga for a year in 1863 as he led the Union attack during the Civil War. President Jackson became a general during the War of 1812 where he led Tennessee volunteers to battle in the Louisiana territory. His signature can still be seen where he carved it into the wall of Lookout Caverns, the cave system that exists beneath Ruby Falls here in Chattanooga.
